Laptop Stands

Laptops have one major feature that they hold dear: Mobility!  We may take it to the office and return to use it at home.  Many of us start out using it at a common desk or the kitchen table.  What one finds out, fairly quickly, is that the laptop would be much easier to use if it was able to be adjusted just right.

The laptop should be tilted slightly towards you and be adjustable.  You never know what chair you will be sitting in.  The laptop should be the height of your hands when your hands are slightly raised and perpendicular to the body.

Many laptop stands are made of plastic and aluminum and are quite inexpensive.  Look for something that is sturdy.  Many of the laptop stands feel like they will tip over if you lean on them at all.  It’s sometimes convenient to put your hands and arms on them to rest.

Choose a laptop stand that matches your décor and is easy to move up and down.  You don’t want something that is going to be a pain to adjust.

Consider a stand that has a place for you to put your mouse.  Some stands leave almost no room for a regular mouse.  In addition, some stands come with a spot for a small printer to fit.

You can expect to pay around $100.00 for a decent laptop stand.
