Plasma Cutters

Plasma cutters use plasma and electricity in much the same ways a plasma television works.  The main difference is that plasma cutters heat up much hotter and focus the plasma energy in a much more forceful way.

Plasma cutters are extremely powerful and necessary for industry.  Thick and hard metals can be cut quickly as if they are butter.  How does a plasma cutter work so well?

The plasma cutter heats up a gas to around 30,000 degrees farenheight .  This gas is heated up with electricity.  Once the gas gets hot enough it becomes a plasma.  Plasma is very hot and releases tremendous amounts of energy.  This energy is tightly focused into a plasma cutter and it is very powerful, clean, and quick.

Homeowner plasma cutters cost one to two thousand dollars.  For what they can do, you would think they would cost a lot more.
