Plasma vs LCD : Both are Excellent

Plasma is More Economical

Plasma: More Screen Less Money

Why has plasma become more widely used than LCD?  The bottom line is that it has always been cheaper; especially in larger sized television sets.  If you want big, and you are on a budget buy plasma.  Being the best isn’t always the right way to buy things.  Value is the most important aspect of the buying process.  That plasma will look 10 times better than your old television and be a lot cheaper.  Most people want LCD, but when it comes right down to parting with cash, they go plasma.

Viewing Angle

Plasma viewing angles are much better than LCD television counterparts.  The viewing angle is almost limitless.  The viewing angle factor difference should be calculated against the brand of LCD you are comparing to because some LCD do much better than others.

Contrast Ratio and Colors

Plasma has a higher contrast ratio and more vivid colors and darker blacks when viewed in dim lighting (compared to LCD).  This makes plasma the ultimate set to have friends over for a movie.  Movies are usually shown in dim lighting and with many people in a room good viewing angle will be an advantage.  The main thing, however, is that your friends will think you’re cool because you can now afford to have a huge television.
