Television Stands

TV stands are a necessity for our television sets.  They can be made out of wood, glass, plastic, or steel.  They are made specifically to hold the television, audio and visual players, and media storage.  Newer models are becoming slimmer and sleeker due to the lighter and thinner television of the day.

Newer models are not being housed as much anymore.  Many televisions are put on a console out in the open because the televisions are much more attractive to look at then they used to be.  In addition, you can use screensavers and favorite pictures to run on the television while it is not in use.  They are being used much like a computer monitor.

Glass is best used for a smaller room, but you should take into account your current décor and budget.  A good stand with media storage can be purchased for a few hundred dollars to many thousands.

A new feature available with plasma and LCD are swivel stands and pop up stands.  The lighter televisions can be moved with motors to disappear into consoles, walls, and ceilings.  They can even swivel to the preferred direction at the touch of a button.
