Someday we will download all our movies onto a hard drive or probably a flash drive with immense storage capacity. The storage space will most likely be built into the televisions. We will have access to nearly any movie or CD that we want at the push of a button on the remote. In this type of world, media storage will be much less than it is today. In today’s world, DVD’s and compact disks are the most common purchased items. Most of us still have some VCR tapes lying around and eight tracks and records are mostly obsolete. Consider the fact that you will likely need to triple your media storage needs before the advent of technology to reduce those needs. And, even after the technology comes along, there will likely be a fee to purchase the movie again. For this reason, you may want to hold on to these older movies. There are many audio and video towers that will complement modern plasma and LCD TV stands. Some stands have the media storage built right in. Most people will need to purchase additional storage. A favorite storage idea we like is to have a rack built on wheels that leans up against the wall. You can move it where you like and it stays out of they way.
